You don't need to be fixed.
You need to learn how to work with and within yourself.
Depth psychology. Soul work. Nervous system care. For when "just think positive" stopped working.
If you're here, you probably already know. You've done the reading. The journaling. The "work on yourself." Maybe you've sat in therapy chairs and spiritual circles alike. And still there's this battle. This tension between who you've been told to be and who you sense you actually are. Between the wounds that shaped you and the life you're trying to build.
Your nervous system is tired. Not broken. Tired. Tired of performing. Tired of people pleasing. Tired of the low grade anxiety that hums underneath everything, even the good days.
You're not looking for another expert to hand you answers. You're looking for someone who can help you trust your own.
Hi, I’m Matthew
I know that tired. I spent years in the same chairs, reading the same books, chasing the same answers. I trained clinically because I wanted to understand the architecture of suffering. But I also learned that the psyche speaks in dreams, in somatic sensations, in the quiet knowing that wakes you at 3am. It speaks in the language of the soul.
So I work in the space where both are true. Where inner parts work meets intuitive practice. Where nervous system care meets depth spiritual work. Where clinical rigor and mystical wisdom aren't at odds—they're the full picture of who you are.
I hold depth without letting you drown in it. I move with fire without letting you burn out. I help people stop fighting themselves and learn how to work with their own inner world. Not to manage symptoms. Not to perform healing. But so the self underneath the anxiety, the over-functioning, the inherited rules—finally gets to lead.
And I will not let you stay small.
Science
I weave in what we now know from neuroscience, somatics, and trauma-informed practice. Healing and transformation aren’t abstract—they’re grounded in how your nervous system, body, and mind work together. This gives us a framework to understand what’s happening and create real, lasting change.
Psychology
Our inner world is shaped by the stories we carry, the archetypes we embody, and the survival patterns we’ve learned. Together we explore these layers with compassion and honesty, so you can step out of old patterns and begin living from truth, power, and freedom.
Spirituality
At the heart of my work is a deep connection to both religious and spiritual practices from a variety of sources. My work is to guide you back to truths already within you and create a space where your spiritual autonomy can be practiced and explored safely without judgment, shame or fear.

In the UK, I work as a trauma-informed counsellor—which means I offer therapeutic containment for religious trauma, deconstruction, and spiritual crisis. I’m not a clinical psychologist (I don’t diagnose or treat mental illness), but I provide counselling for the existential and somatic fallout of high-control religion.
What this means practically:
I can work with your therapist (if you have one) as the “spiritual integration” piece they may not offer.
I can provide standalone counselling for religious trauma and deconstruction without the clinical distance.
If you need clinical mental health treatment, I maintain referral relationships with UK-registered psychotherapists and psychiatrists.
For International clients: I work as a trauma-informed spiritual coach due to regulatory differences, though my approach remains rooted in the same values.

You’ve left high-control religious and/or spiritual communities and your body is still bracing for punishment.
You’re seeing a therapist for the clinical work (anxiety, depression, CPTSD) but need someone to help you process the spiritual grief and existential terror.
You want to explore spiritual practices such as tarot, past-life work, or Jungian shadow work without your counsellor pathologizing it.
You’re exhausted by “life coaches” who want to be your guru and therapists who don’t understand why leaving your spiritual community and worldview feels like dying.

How we work together
Counselling for Religious Trauma & Deconstruction
This isn’t CBT worksheets or “just think positive.” It’s:
Somatic attunement: Tracking where religious fear lives in your nervous system
Archetypal exploration: Using tarot, active imagination, or depth psychology as diagnostic tools (always your meaning, not mine)
Deconstruction support: Holding the specific grief of losing community, certainty, and identity without rushing you to “reconstruction”
Boundary repair: Reclaiming spiritual autonomy when you’ve been taught that questioning is sin

Trauma-Informed Practioner Centre for Healing, Australia and additional ongoing training
NARM-informed (NeuroAffective Relational Model for complex trauma)
NLP Practitioner (neuro-linguistic programming for pattern interruption)
Reiki LVL 2 (energetic support, optional integration)
Clear scope: I work with religious trauma, spiritual crisis, and deconstruction. I help people recover from pleasing towards autonomy and deepen their inner work and self-discovery. I refer out for clinical mental health treatment, active addiction, or acute psychiatric crisis.
My Podcast
At the crossroads of science, psychology, and spirituality, we explore the wisdom and insights that help you step into who you are and who you came here to be. From my own personal experience growing up gay in the Church, I’ve learned to connect deeper with the voice of God outside the dogma. I search for the truth behind the pulpit, and the transformation within the experience.
